Marshmallow Root is a gentle yet powerful herb. Every part of the marshmallow plant contains mucilage and has been used to ease irritation of a variety of mucous membranes. It is especially helpful when we have GERD, dry or wheezy coughs, or inflammation in the urinary tract.

This cooling, moistening root offers support wherever dryness, sensitivity, or internal heat needs calming. Some sources gave instructions on how to prepare marshmallow for use as a personal lubricant, which supports its association with rituals and practices for attracting love or fertility. This gentle protector of the tender and intimate is also reflected in the practice of planting marshmallow on or around grave sites. Marshmallow is associated with comforting protection, nurturing energies, and benevolent spirits.

Marshmallow Root carries a sacred softness and reminds us that true resilience often begins with tenderness and care.
