Our Process
A Note on Ingredient Sourcing: Wren's Blends LLC celebrates people who forage and we encourage anyone who is interested to learn more about plant safety and identification. Like many others, we are not able to forage for all the ingredients we use. To ensure quality and standardize recipes, most of our ingredients are purchased from Monterey Bay Herb Co. in California. However, some items are purchased at specialty or local stores.
It seems like things are moving faster than ever these days, with more and more demands vying for our attention. We don't have the option to stop time but sometimes, even the simplest things can help ground us in the present and encourage us to draw on our inner strength. Some ways to practice this can include using strong scents you enjoy (lotion, incense, etc.), spending a few minutes looking around outside, or calling a loved one or trusted person... or, of course, enjoying a cup of tea.
The warmth of a kitchen goes beyond the food; it's in the laughter, stories, and endless cups of tea.
Wren's Blends LLC was created as an invitation to be more intentional without sacrificing convenience. We offer quality teas, expertly blended, and prepared with intention. We spent several months tweaking and re-blending until we were satisfied with our products. Please keep in mind that some of the teas are blended for specific purposes, which may prioritize function over flavor. More information about each blend's flavor profile and explanations to contextualize the ingredient selection can be found in the product descriptions and in the FAQs. Our hope is to share general knowledge about how we can partner with these plants to ease our journey through life. And maybe even give you a few more reasons to love them.
Armed with scale and scoops, we light incense, cleanse our materials, and set intentions. We hope these teas greet you on days that feel happy and heavy. Life is filled to the brim with flavors, both sweet and bitter. And if no one has told you yet, it is not your job to find something redeeming in every day. Sometimes life just sucks and that is human - We should not be pressured to isolate or pretend to feel differently. A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers reminds us that "it is enough to exist in the world and marvel at it. You don't need to justify that, or earn it. You are allowed to just live. That is all most animals do."
May the few minutes you spend steeping your cuppa serve as a reminder that it was blended with intention for you. However you are showing up today is part of your human experience. We are rooting for you!

Community is at the heart of Wren's Blends LLC. Our unique teas will be available by the cup at The Lady Layre in Bevo Mills. Small and large bags of our loose leaf teas are also available in-store or online.
The Lady Layre is a safe, sober space that proudly features handmade creations from a variety of local artists, including magical wares crafted by working witches, one-of-a-kind oddities, and spellbinding decor. The shop features in-house tarot readings, comfortable seating options, and hands-on workshops for the witchy and whimsical seekers.

Your purchases of Wren's Blends products will also help fund the Crowded Table Foundation, a passion project imagined by the owner of Wren's Blends LLC. This 501(c)(3)-to-be, while not legally established yet, will challenge the provisioning-only model of addressing food insecurity by offering a free, community kitchen where people can prepare their own meals with dignity.
